On a whim, on my way home from Albuquerque on Saturday, I headed to Horseshoe Bend to see the sunset. For those of you who know your geography, you know this isn't on the way home really.. But it was worth it to take the extra 3-4 hours out of my day to go.. I took a number of photos before and after the sun went down. Pretty cool to see the changes in color. Note: the photos on my site are multiple shot HDR images, which intensifies colors that are already there... Yes, they are photoshopped and brightened and so on... . I took this photo a couple weeks ago when @tiffanymasterslv and I went on our spontaneous bucket list trip through Utah and AZ. I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to edit any of these photos so I did one this morning to share. This is from Lower Antelope Canyon outside of Page, AZ. This Canyon is much less busy than its counter part, Upper Antelope Canyon. I've wanted to come here a long time and didn't realize it was only a short 5 hr drive away from las Vegas. Last Sunday I embarked on a spontaneous whirlwind trip w/ @tiffanymasterslv &we journeyed to some of the most beautiful spots in the world, all in our backyard. This was the last stop on the trip, and Tiffany was adamant that we didn't miss going here although I don't think she understood that Horseshoe Bend, AZ has been on the top of my list of places to go for a very long time. We got there around 5 pm which was over 2 hours before sunset. I'm not scared of Heights so I walked up to the edge and started shooting photos on an over hang that made some complete strangers concerned for my well being. Tiffany and I relaxed on the edge of the cliff for the next 3 hours, taking in the view and letting the wind blow through my hair. It was a very serene and peaceful experience; one that I suggest everyone take the time to go see and do. I took this shot as the sun was disappearing over the horizon. In 44 hours, @tiffanymasterslv and I managed to pack the car, drive to Zion, takes some photos, drive to Bryce Canyon, take a 2 hour horseback ride, find a campsite (we slept in a tee pee), take a hike on the Navajo Trail, watch the sunset over Sunset Point, hot tub (our campground had amenities, we had to use them!), broadcast on @Hangwith, watch the sunrise at Sunrise Point, pack up camp, get on the road to AZ, take a spontaneous detour at Coral Pink Sand Dunes, drive the rest of the way to Page, AZ, stop at the Dam, take a tour of Lower Antelope Slot Canyons, short hike to Horseshoe Bend to hang & hangwith & take selfies for 2 hours as the sun went down, then drove and made it back to Vegas.
