Don't Miss
Home / Instagram Mstracylee / I wrote this 1 year ago today and it means more now than ever:-What image portrays the grief, what words convey the pain, what tears signify the remembrance? To this day I haven’t forgotten where I was, what I felt, & what I thought the morning that this all happened; I hope that I never do. It was one point in this country, didn’t matter black or white, Democrat or Republican, male or female, gay or straight that this country came together under our flag. So bad that it took such a devastating event to do that, but to see the domestic, political war that’s being fought right now, in this country is mind blowing. Our boys are overseas fighting for us, &we’re letting the bad guys in the backdoor; we’re too busy at the front arguing w/each other.-Whatever happened to One Country, Undivided? Perhaps 9-11 is the last time we were that way. We have men kneeling for the National Anthem, women on the US national team dropping the flag on the ground to celebrate a victory instead of flying it high & proud, actors calling for a black list of anyone who supports our current President, &the worlds largest retailer bowing to peer pressure from the gun control side. Where is the pride in our Freedom?-As we sit here &fight &squabble over these petty things (&not so petty, as our 2nd Amendment &therefore our 1st are on the front line of this battle), we’re weakening the resolve that this country stands for &inviting the enemy in at the gate.-How far does this go? What happens to this country if our country re-elects our current president again& what happens if we don’t? When &where will the melt down hit US the most?-At the end of the day, we need to love thy neighbor, whether their views are the same or different than ours. We need to bear arms &have the right to protect our family &our loved ones. We need to accept people no matter what their color, gender, religious beliefs are &figure out a way to come together as One Nation under the Grand Ol’ Flag of the US OF A!-Let the memory of this day, & those lost souls not be in vain. We need to find a way through the most polarizing times we’ve probably ever seen because there’s a war brewing within.-? @nycfotophun
