This last Friday, Tiffany Masters of www.lasvegasbucketlist.com took a small group of us out to Roos N More. This was an extra special hands on experience that we won’t soon forget. We spent about 2 hours in this special habitat located about 45 minutes away from Las Vegas where we got to hand feed many of the animals and even hold and play with baby monkeys, kangaroos, wallabys, armadillos and porcupines! With us was Mark Shea of Overlander.tv who is doing a documentary about things to do in America; he has one of the top travel channels for Australia on Youtube.
The animals are well loved and cared for- but the county is trying to shut the zoo down. They need to raise about $100k to do all the necessary modifications to the property including parking and restrooms for guests to keep it open. I’m going to be taking people out to the zoo when I can for nominal donations with ALL proceeds going to Roos & More! Stay tuned to my social media for me to put together trips!
NOTE: The camels are shedding their winter coats, that’s why they look like that!
